- The BETOFROST P20 admixture is added to the concrete mix during preparation to prevent freezing during transport and placement, and prior to the start of heat treatment or thermos-curing.
- BETOFROST P20 is used in the construction of cast-in-place concrete and reinforced concrete structures, the manufacture of precast concrete and reinforced concrete elements at production yards and construction sites, and the preparation of mortars within a temperature range of 0°C to -20°C.
- When preparing concrete mixes during the winter season, the requirements of TKP 45-1.03-314-2018 (Section 7) must be followed.
- BETOFROST P20 does not reduce the mix's working time, alter the concrete's color, or cause surface efflorescence. The admixture is chloride-free and suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed structures; it does not cause corrosion of reinforcement or concrete.
DOSING THE ADDITIVEThe recommended dosage of the BETOFROST P20 admixture is 0.6–1.5% of the cement mass, calculated based on the dry matter content of the admixture. The dosage depends on the forecast minimum ambient air temperature.
The dosage of BETOFROST P20 may vary depending on cement content, the water-cement ratio, and concrete curing and hardening conditions.

When using the BETOFROST P20 admixture, the mixing water content is reduced by 15–25% relative to the initial value.
When using BETOFROST P20 as a Group I plasticizer, the minimum dosage of the admixture (based on the dry matter content relative to the mass of cement) must be 0.6%.
The additive is most effective when administered with water.
