BETOPLAST LS

Group I Plasticizer for Concrete and Mortar

The admixture is produced as a 35 % concentration solution in accordance with TU BY 191604636.004-2013.

Group I plasticizer for concrete and mortar mixes. The admixture is intended for ready-mixed, precast, and cast-in-place concrete and reinforced concrete. It can also be used in the production of construction mortars.
PROPERTIES OF THE ADDITIVE
  • BETOPLAST LS admixture is used in the production of all types of Portland cement-based concrete.
  • BETOPLAST LS is designed for the manufacture of medium-strength precast elements and the production of ready-mixed concrete ranging from class C12/15 to C30/37.
  • The use of BETOPLAST LS does not increase the air content of the fresh concrete mix, does not alter the concrete's color, and does not cause surface efflorescence.
  • The admixture is chloride-free and suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures; it does not cause corrosion of reinforcement or concrete.

USE OF THE ADDITIVE
  • Production of low- and medium-strength concrete (up to C30/37) using highly workable concrete mixes.
  • Increasing the workability of the mix from P1 to P5 or higher without loss of strength.
  • Increasing the initial and final strength of concrete, as well as enhancing its density, frost resistance, water impermeability, and other physicochemical and mechanical properties.
  • Reduction in cement consumption by 5–10% compared to concrete without admixtures.
  • Increasing the water impermeability and density of the concrete mix.
  • Reduction of energy consumption (during vibration and heat-and-moisture treatment) and labor requirements for placing and compacting the concrete mix.
  • Transportation of prepared concrete mixtures for 1.5–2.0 hours with minimal loss of workability.

DOSING THE ADDITIVE
  • The recommended dosage of the BETOPLAST LS admixture is 0.6–1.2% of the liquid admixture by weight of cement. The dosage depends on the concrete mix composition, required workability, specific characteristics of the structure being produced, and the intended application.
  • Using the BETOPLAST LS admixture allows for increasing the workability of the concrete mix, reducing the mixing water content by 15% relative to the initial amount (thereby increasing the final strength of the products), or reducing binder consumption by up to 10%.
The additive is most effective when administered with water.
Occupational Safety and Health

In terms of its effect on the human body, the BETOPLAST LS additive is classified as a low-hazard substance (Hazard Class IV according to GOST 12.1.007-86).
When handling the product, sanitary and hygienic requirements must be observed, and personal protective equipment must be used to prevent direct contact with the skin and eyes.

Do not drink, eat, or smoke while working with the additive.

PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE
  • The liquid additive is dispensed in bulk into the customer's clean plastic or metal containers of various capacities.
  • The additive is transported by any mode of transport in accordance with cargo transportation regulations.
  • The additive is stored in enclosed spaces at above-freezing temperatures in hermetically sealed containers.
  • The additive is a non-flammable liquid.
  • The additive should be protected from direct sunlight, temperatures above 50°C, and freezing.
  • Shelf life — 24 months from the date of manufacture.
