BETOPLAST LUX

Hyperplasticizer for concretes and mortars (Group I plasticizer)

The admixture is produced as a 45 % concentration solution in accordance with TU BY 191604636.001-2012.

New generation Group I plasticizer based on polycarboxylates with reduced dosage (hyperplasticizer).
ADMIXTURE PROPERTIES
THE ADMIXTURE IS INTENDED FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF ALL TYPES OF HEAVY-WEIGHT AND LIGHT-WEIGHT CONCRETES, CONCRETE AND REINFORCED CONCRETE PRODUCTS AND STRUCTURES PRODUCED IN PRECAST CONCRETE PLANTS, AS WELL AS FOR CAST-IN-PLACE STRUCTURES.

APPLICATION OF THE ADMIXTURE
  • Production of high-strength concrete classes (C50/60 and above) from high-slump (flowable) concrete mixes without coarse aggregate segregation at low water-cement ratios.
  • Increasing the mix workability from S1 to S5 and above without loss of strength, frost resistance, or water tightness at minimum admixture dosages.
  • Increasing initial and final concrete strength, as well as improving density, frost resistance, water tightness, and other physical and mechanical properties of concrete.
  • Reduction of cement consumption by 20-25 %.
  • Improvement of the properties of concrete mixes delivered by concrete pumps (prevents mix segregation and does not reduce the pot life compared to concrete without admixtures).
  • Improvement of the concrete surface category.
  • Reduction of energy consumption (during vibration and steam curing) and labor costs during the placement and compaction of the concrete mix.
  • Increased workability retention of the concrete mix compared to conventional plasticizers.

ADMIXTURE PROPERTIES
Betoplast Lux is used for the production of all types of Portland cement-based concretes with increased requirements for strength, frost resistance, and water tightness.
The application of the admixture does not impair the workability retention of the concrete mix; rather, retention is increased compared to conventional plasticizers.
Betoplast Lux admixture does not increase the air content in the freshly mixed concrete, does not alter the color, and does not cause efflorescence on the concrete surface.
The admixture contains no chlorides and is suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed structures.
The admixture does not induce corrosion of reinforcement or concrete.

USAGE
  • The use of BETOPLAST LUX admixture allows for a reduction in the amount of mixing water by 30 % or more from the initial value.
  • For concretes with low W/C ratios (less than 0.35), the mixing time must be extended by 1.5-2 times to ensure more complete distribution of the admixture and the manifestation of its properties.
  • The effectiveness of the admixture is maximized when introduced together with the mixing water.

ADMIXTURE DOSAGE
The recommended dosage of BETOPLAST LUX is 0.2-0.8 % by weight of cement in liquid form.
In special conditions and under specific requirements, the admixture dosage may be increased up to 1.0 % without loss of concrete strength.
The dosage depends on the concrete mix design, required workability, structural features of the component, and the application purpose (Consult with our specialists).
The admixture contains no chlorides, is suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed structures, and does not induce reinforcement corrosion.
The dosage depends on the concrete mix design, product type, and structural features of the component (Consult with our specialists).

THIS INFORMATION IS FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES. PRODUCT TESTING UNDER PRODUCTION CONDITIONS IS REQUIRED FOR ADMIXTURE IMPLEMENTATION.
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

The admixture is classified as a low-hazard substance (Hazard Class IV according to GOST 12.1.007-86) regarding its effect on the human body.
During application, sanitary and hygienic requirements must be observed; personal protective equipment must be used to prevent direct contact with the skin and eyes.

Drinking, eating, and smoking are prohibited when handling the admixture.

PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION, AND STORAGE
  • The liquid admixture is supplied in bulk into the buyer's clean plastic or metal containers of various capacities.
  • The admixture is transported by any means of transport in accordance with cargo transportation regulations.
  • The admixture shall be stored in enclosed premises at positive temperatures in hermetically sealed containers.
  • The admixture may be stored in enclosed premises down to -15 °C in hermetically sealed containers.
  • The admixture must be protected from direct sunlight, heating above 50 °C, and freezing.
  • The shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
  • The admixture is a non-flammable liquid.
