BETOPLAST SB

Multi-component admixture based on polycarboxylate hyperplasticizer for concrete and mortars
Group I plasticizer

The admixture is produced as a 35 % concentration solution in accordance with TU BY 191604636.001-2012.

A multifunctional admixture comprising a Group I polycarboxylate-based plasticizer (hyperplasticizer) and a strength-gain accelerator. This admixture is primarily intended for precast concrete and reinforced concrete products and structures manufactured at precast concrete plants, large-panel housing factories, house-building plants, construction sites, casting yards, and in cassette casting systems.
PROPERTIES OF THE ADDITIVE
  • Betoplast SB admixture is used in the production of all types of Portland cement-based concrete, including self-compacting concrete, precast reinforced concrete (including heavily reinforced structures), prestressed concrete elements, cast-in-place concrete structures, lightweight concrete, and industrial flooring.
  • Betoplast SB does not increase the air content of the fresh concrete mix, does not alter the concrete's color, and does not cause surface efflorescence. The admixture is chloride-free and suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed structures, as it does not cause corrosion of reinforcement or concrete.

USE OF THE ADDITIVE
Production of high-strength concrete (C30/35 and above) using highly flowable (fluid) concrete mixes with a low water-cement ratio.
Increasing the workability of the mix from P1 to P5 or higher without loss of strength.
Increase in the initial and final strength of concrete; improvement of density, frost resistance, water impermeability, and other physicochemical and mechanical properties of concrete.
Reduction in cement consumption by 15–20%
Improvement of concrete mix uniformity (reduces the tendency of fluid and highly fluid concrete mixes to segregate).
Upgrading the concrete surface category.
Reduction of energy consumption (during vibration and heat-and-moisture treatment) and labor costs associated with placing and compacting the concrete mix.

DOSING THE ADDITIVE
The recommended dosage of the BETOPLAST SB admixture is 0.6–1.2% by weight of cement. The dosage depends on the concrete mix composition, required workability, specific characteristics of the structure being produced, and the intended application.

When using the Betoplast SB admixture, the mixing water content can be reduced by 20–30% relative to the initial amount.

The additive is most effective when administered together with water.

Occupational Safety and Health

In terms of its effect on the human body, the BETOPLAST SB additive is classified as a low-hazard substance (Hazard Class IV according to GOST 12.1.007-86).
When handling the product, sanitary and hygienic requirements must be observed, and personal protective equipment must be used to prevent direct contact with the skin and eyes.

Do not drink, eat, or smoke while working with the additive.

PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE
  • The liquid additive is dispensed in bulk into the customer's clean plastic or metal containers of various capacities.
  • The additive is transported by any mode of transport in accordance with cargo transportation regulations.
  • The additive is stored in enclosed spaces at above-freezing temperatures in hermetically sealed containers.
  • Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture.
  • The additive is a non-flammable liquid.
  • The additive should be protected from direct sunlight, temperatures above 50°C and freezing.
