BETOPLAST SM

Hyperplasticizer for concrete and mortars Group I plasticizer

The admixture is produced in liquid form in accordance with TU 191604636.001-2012 as a 32 % concentration solution.

Low-dosage Group I polycarboxylate-based plasticizer (hyperplasticizer) for concrete and mortars. This admixture is intended for use in the production of normal-weight and lightweight concrete and mortars.
PROPERTIES OF THE ADDITIVE
  • BETOPLAST SM is used in the production of all types of Portland cement-based concrete, including ready-mixed concrete, precast reinforced concrete (including heavily reinforced structures), prestressed concrete elements, self-compacting concrete, and concrete flooring.
  • The BETOPLAST SM admixture does not increase the air content of the fresh mix, does not alter the concrete's color, and does not cause surface efflorescence.
  • It is chloride-free and suitable for use in reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.
  • The admixture does not cause corrosion of reinforcement or concrete.

USAGE
  • Production of high-strength concrete (C50/60 and above) using highly flowable (fluid) concrete mixes with a low water-cement ratio.
  • Increasing mix workability from class P1 to P5 or higher without loss of strength, using minimal admixture dosages.
  • Increasing the initial and final strength of concrete, as well as its density, frost resistance, water impermeability, and other physicochemical properties.
  • Reduction in cement consumption by 20% or more.
  • Improves the properties of concrete pumped via a concrete pump (prevents mix segregation and does not reduce the mix's working life compared to concrete without the admixture).
  • Upgrading concrete surface categories.
  • Reduction of energy consumption (during vibration and heat-and-moisture treatment) and labor costs associated with placing and compacting the concrete mix.
  • Increased workability retention of the concrete mix compared to conventional plasticizers.

DOSING THE ADDITIVE
  • The recommended dosage of the liquid admixture BETOPLAST CM is 0.4–1.0% of the cement mass. The dosage depends on the concrete mix composition, required workability, specific characteristics of the structure being built, and the intended application.
  • BETOPLAST CM allows for a reduction in mixing water by up to 40% relative to the initial amount. For concretes with a low water-to-cement (W/C) ratio (<0.35), the mixing time should be increased by 1.5 to 2 times to ensure more thorough distribution of the admixture.

The additive is most effective when administered with water.
Occupational Safety and Health

In terms of its effect on the human body, the BETOPLAST SM additive is classified as a low-hazard substance (Hazard Class IV according to GOST 12.1.007-86).
When handling the product, it is necessary to observe health and safety requirements and use personal protective equipment to prevent direct contact with the skin and eyes.

Do not drink, eat, or smoke while working with the additive.

PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE
  • The liquid additive is dispensed in bulk into the customer's clean plastic or metal containers of various capacities.
  • The additive is transported by any mode of transport in accordance with cargo transportation regulations.
  • The additive is stored in enclosed spaces at above-freezing temperatures in hermetically sealed containers.
  • Shelf life: 24 months from the date of manufacture.
  • The additive is a non-flammable liquid.
  • The additive should be protected from direct sunlight, temperatures above 50°C, and freezing.
